Winter 2012-2013
Still better and better
We'd got into the semi-retirement habit of traveling touristically whenever, in the post-Bush era of Global Warming, the snow in the Jura mountains was absent yet again. This year, all the snow came back. And we kept traveling as well.
You may not find this terribly rewarding unless you're included here, so this is a good time for casual and random browsers to turn back before they get too caught up in the sweep and majesty of the proceedings and can't let go. Click on the photos to proceed.

What's next?
Kristin's already scouting the situation in northern Wisconsin, USA, and next week we'll be joining her at Spring Hill near Madison for some Shakespeare stuff and then up north for the canoeing, hydrobiking and what not, and old friends. A bunch of work we'd hoped would be wrapped up by now will be coming along with us, but we don't work as fast as we used to do. In August Young Marlowe, Young Dmitri, and Even Younger William will be joining us on the lake, we hope Lowell and Sheila will be joining us, too, and in September we'll pass by DC for a visit with astrophysicists Alison and Mark in Charlottesville and some more plays, we've been promised, and hiking in the Blue Mountains -- and then back home and who knows?
Perhaps the snow will be coming in again.
