Short breaks from poring over the newspapers as the Bushies implode

You may not find this terribly rewarding unless you're included here, so this is a good time for casual and random browsers to turn back before they get too caught up in the sweep and majesty of the proceedings and can't let go. Click on pictures to proceed.

The future, always iffy

Unless something really untoward should happen (like Mr Cheney suddenly deciding that Switzerland might make an easier target than Iran), we should have more moments of joy and sorrow to post here soon, with (following some murderous meetings in late May) a journey set for mid-to-late June to some island off the coast of Newfoundland, to see how the black fly swarms are coping with Mr Bush's Global Warming -- then descending upon Vermont USA with everybody we know for daughter Marlowe's wedding thing -- then a visit from Kristin back to Switzerland for some alpine gallivanting -- and finally a late-summer visit from Alison taking a Swiss break from the daily hurly-burly of astrophysics. And not long after that, we hope, the snow will be starting again.
