Dwight Peck's personal website Winter
2002-2003
Very
eventful, but in a quiet way As
round the world some of them were trying in vain to convince the rest of us that
it would be a fun idea to go bomb a lot of the folks down in Iraq, D. Peck and
friends spent the fall and winter hiding out in the safest place they could think
of.
Marlowe
and Dima see the sights of the Suisse Romande
You
may not find this interesting unless you're included here, so this is a good time

sweep and majesty of the proceedings and can't let go. Morat
/ Murten
The
medieval walled town on the Lac de Morat between Neuchâtel and Fribourg
on the linguistic border (hence the two names), December 2002.

Marlowe
reflective on the battlements of the Morat city wall. Perhaps thinking back to
earlier visits to the Lac de Morat . . . .
like
this one in 1992.
Now
to the Castle of Gruyères
None
of your classic panoramic and main-streets shots of Gruyères this time, as incomparable
as they always are -- here we find Marlowe and Dmitri circumambulating
the town and castle walls in the early evening.
"Sergeant
[Your Name], your mission is to "neutralize" the defenders in that corner
tower, and you have to get it done immediately. There is no close
air support this time, sorry, no Security Council resolution."

de Gruyères in December 2002.
