The lake again, with six islands, a bit over 3km from the northern end to the highway bridge in the south.
This is the northernmost island, which has an eagles' nest on it, though this summer all the eagles seem to be congregating round the north end of the lake.
We've been told that the island is, or was, called Adjidaumo (from the talking squirrel in Longfellow's Hiawatha).
