Winter 2009-2010

Our first full year of Obama disappointments

Some travels, and many long hours basking in the Jura rain

You may not find this terribly rewarding unless you're included here, so this is a good time for casual and random browsers to turn back before they get too caught up in the sweep and majesty of the proceedings and can't let go.

Off to a good start in a chilly October

Mont Tendre in the rain La Dôle in the fog

That's it for the winter of 2009-2010 here in the rainy western corner of Switzerland (so far in May, we've got the rainiest May in Swiss recorded history). Summer's getting underway now, cold, rainy, and Kristin's coming over to make the chicken soup again for some medical inconveniences, and after that we're off again to the Land of We're Number One. Daughters Alison and Marlowe have promised to join us on the lake in northern Wisconsin in August -- where reportedly it hasn't rained since 2006.
