as life's hectic non-stop party threatens to get out of control and really exhausting

Marlowe T. Peck's visit to the old country (1)

You may not find this terribly rewarding unless you're included here, so this is a good time for casual and random browsers to turn back before they get too caught up in the sweep and majesty of the proceedings and can't let go.

Christmas hols 2004, Marlowe forsakes her studies and leaves Dima to take care of the ferrets in Ottawa, Ont., and comes along to visit the Old Dad and walk in the forest.

Here's the village of Le Pont, on the Lac de Joux, on Christmas Day 2004, a nice snowy one

Marlowe, three hours off the airplane, contemplates being back in Switzerland again, land of her birth and early years

Boxing Day, 26 December 2004, dinner at the Durhams as always, in Aigle, Switzerland. From right: Dr (medicine) Dante, or André; Dr (linguistics) Mercedes; Poetess Francine; background, delightful teen daughter of Nancy
